Beautiful and warm light that is in perfect harmony with its surroundings. The PH 3½-2½ Glass floor lamp is designed according to
the idea of ​​a reflective three-shade system, which directs the light largely downwards.
The shades are made of three layers of mouth-blown opal glass, which is smoothly polished on the outside and
sandblasted matt on the inside. This creates a soft and even distribution of light and prevents glare.
The mouth-blown white opal glass shades soften the overall look of the lamp. The atmospheric light that is thus spread
makes the PH 3½-2½ suitable for many spaces, such as the living room, bedroom or office.
The metal base, stand and top are available in chrome, metallized black or brass.

Design to Shape Light Poul Henningsen

The three-shade system was the core of Poul Henningsen's lighting design in 1928. Within that concept he designed various
table lamps, floor lamps, pendant lamps and wall lamps.
He based his three-shade design on a logarithmic spiral to make optimal use of the light source.
The shape of the shades was determined by the way they had to shape and reflect the light and the lamp was designed in such a
way that the light was glare-free.
Poul Henningsen was born in Copenhagen in 1894. He studied architecture but did not complete it. He then studied
at the Copenhagen Technical School from 1911-1914, and then three years at the Technical University in Copenhagen.
For a short period he was the chief architect of the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen.
Poul Henningsen worked with Louis Poulsen for the rest of his life from 1925 onwards and to this day Louis Poulsen
produces his brilliant designs.
