The Kaufmann Dining Table by House of Finn Juhl is made from a beautiful combinatie of walnut and oak wood.
Designer Finn Juhl has consciously worked with a mix of wooden materials for the dinner table.
A dark walnut table top and a lighter oak frame make a very clear separation between the different parts.
The many design details of the table have both a practical and visual function. The refined edge profile
of the table creates the illusion that the table top is floating above the frame. The brass detail on the crossbar
gives the table an optically exclusive look and at the same time protects the wood when you rest your feet on it.
The toes of the table's legs further emphasize the light appearance of the Kaufmann table.

No concessions are possible regarding the use of materials for Finn Juhl's furniture. You can count on the best quality
in fabrics, leather and wood.
The table is almost entirely handmade and has a solid oak frame, walnut ends on the table legs and
a veneered walnut table top with solid edges. The wood is oiled.
Combining the Kaufmann Table
The Kaufmann dining table can be nicely combined with the stylish Reading Chair or the 108 and 109 dining chairs
from Finn Juhl.
Or choose matching chairs from another Danish brand: the CH23 or CH33 dining room chairs from Carl Hansen & Son
with an oak frame and walnut details.
Another great use of the Finn Juhl Kaufmann table is to apply it as a desk or reading table. Perfect with the 48 Chair in
with the same wood composition.
Stylish matching table lamps for comfortable reading are, for example, the PH3/2 or AJ Oxford lamp from Louis Poulsen.
Finn Juhl organic Danish Design
The Danish modernist Finn Juhl may have been the designer in which organic shapes are most visible in his design furniture.
Like other modernist pioneers, Juhl started from scratch without role models or hereditary limitations.
He designed by measuring his own body and analyzing how the individual parts of the chair should support the human body.
And unlike his contemporaries, with their streamlined, scaffolding-like constructions, Juhl strove for a more organic,
natural shape.
The potential strength of the wood was maximized, just as it is during the natural growth process of a tree.
Because Finn Juhl translated his ideas into bold, smooth joinery where every element of the design flows seamlessly together,
he also set very high demands on the furniture makers who had to create the design.
The result is visible in beautifully refined, sculptural and iconic work that has been exclusively supplied by House of Finn Juhl since its restart in 2001.
