With Christmas Tree, Kay Bojesen's universe has added an iconic and stylish Christmas
decoration in the form of a Christmas tree based on the classic stacking tower.
X-mas magic interpreted in wood, based on original designs from the archives.
The tree is finished in Christmas green and the ball on top is painted in gold so that it sparkles like a star.
The Kay Bojesen Christmas tree is available in both this larger size of 19.5 cm and
the slightly smaller 13.5 cm version, so you can choose the exact Christmas tree
that suits your decorations the best or combine two or more to create an atmospheric
and minimalist december composition.
Materials
The Christmas trees’ rings are turned in FSC® certified rubber tree, while the glued-on
top comes in FSC® certified beech wood.
As always, the manual production with paint and printing is carried out with the great precision
and care typical of Kay Bojesen's wooden figurines. Attention has been given to the wood,
painting and craftsmanship, giving the figurines a very special quality.
This larger Christmas tree is 19.5 cm high and has a diameter of 11 cm.
As the teak is from a plantation, there may be dark spots and stripes, but exposure
to air and light will reduce these over time.
Accordingly, there will be variations in the wood from monkey to monkey, making
every single monkey utterly unique.
Photos from the archives show that Kay Bojesen loved to make small Christmas displays.
For these, he sometimes used the stacking tower as a Christmas tree to create his stories.
Combine the Christmas tree with the Monkey Mini Christmas Jumper or the Santa hats
