In 1946 Finn Juhl designed two beautiful dining room chairs, 108 Chair without armrests and 109 Chair with armrests and provided each model
with their own characteristic details.
The organic details in the House of Finn Juhl 108 Chair are subtly processed and have a comfortable function.
For example, the continuous frame behind the backrest and the narrower space between the rear chair legs make it easy to slide the dining table chair
from the table. The tapered chair legs give space to the feet.
The special interplay of lines under the seat catches the eye and also serves as a strong connection between the seat and front legs
to ensure a stable construction.
The curved backrest and the seat naturally provide perfect support with which everyone can linger comfortably and long.

108 Chair is almost the same dining room chair as 109 Chair but without the armrests. Look at the related products at the bottom of this page.

No concessions are possible with regard to the use of materials for the furniture by Finn Juhl.
You can count on the best quality in fabrics, leather and wood.
The House of Finn Juhl 108 Chair is available with an oak frame treated with transparent or dark oil, black paint or a frame in smoked oak.
In addition, a frame in walnut wood that is treated with transparent oil is available.
The back and seat are covered with textile or leather.

You can order the 108 Chair online with upholstery in one of the 32 watercolors in which Finn Juhl originally designed his furniture.
Check out the fabric and colors on the Kjellerup Vaeveri website. When ordering, enter the name and number of the fabric.
Or choose Vegetal leather from Stolz. Vegetal is vegetable tanned and is therefore sustainably produced. It is a very natural aniline leather that is beautifully soft,
warm and pleasant to touch and it has a 100% smooth grain.
The leather comes from Scandinavian bulls and has a natural look. Closed scars from thorns and insect bites and skin folds remain visible and
enhance the authentic character of the leather. Check out the Stolz website. Enter the color number of the leather when ordering.

Combining the House of Finn Juhl 108 Chair and 109 Chair

108 Chair and 109 Chair fit together perfectly and look great at the tables from House of Finn Juhl. Combine these chairs with the oval Silver table or the rectangular

Finn Juhl Organic Danish Design

The Danish modernist Finn Juhl may have been the designer with which organic forms are most visible in his furniture design.
Like other modernist pioneers, Juhl started from scratch with no role models or hereditary limitations.
He designed by measuring and analyzing his own body and how the individual parts of the chair should support the human body.
And unlike his contemporaries, with their streamlined, scaffold-like structures, Juhl strove for a more organic,
natural shape.
The potential strength of the wood was used to the maximum, just like it occurs during the natural growth process of a tree.
As Finn Juhl translated his ideas into bold, smooth joinery where every element of the design flows seamlessly into another,
he also set very high standards for the furniture makers who had to make the design.
The result is visible in beautifully refined, sculptural and iconic work that has been supplied exclusively by House of Finn Juhl
since its restart in 2001.
