The Fabricius Kastholm Plico Chair is available in a high and low back version, the FK10 and the FK11.
The solid oak frame and curved rear legs are shaped for stability. The backrest and seat, with matching cushions,
are covered with stitched linen canvas for an elegant look and ultimate seating comfort. The adjustable backrest folds in completely
and the saddle leather armrests complete the design, giving this lounge chair a distinctive expression full of character.

When designing the Plico Chair, Danish design duo Preben Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm sought to create a chair that takes up as little
space as possible when not in use while not compromising on comfort.
Looking to highlight what other designers often seek to hide, they created a deceptively simple design with visible joints,
beautiful brass fittings and accomplished craftsmanship.

The FK10 Plico armchair is the high model with the comfortable, round neck cushion.

Fabricius Kastholm for Carl Hansen & Son

This duo initially designed wooden furniture and later also in steel and leather, making use of the experience and background of
Jørgen Kastholm as a blacksmith.
They have always been inspired by designs of Danish design such as those made by Hans J. Wegner and Arne Jacobsen,
but also international names such as Charles and Ray Eames and Mies van der Rohe. During the design process, drawings between
Fabricius and Kastholm passed back and forth across the table until it was impossible to say who had drawn the design
but the result was always a concerted effort.
This design duo specializes in furniture design and single-family homes and is characterized by minimalism, refinement, functionality,
quality and an eye for detail.
