Ninotchka Pendant 425 | Lyfa

The Ninotchka pendant lamp by Lyfa is a genuine and recognizable design icon, designed by Bent Karlby in 1954.
When giving shape to this lamp, Bent Karlby had taken note of an eye-catching hat,
worn by the Swedish Hollywood star Greta Garbo in her 1939 film, Ninotchka. Art, fashion, and popular culture have a long tradition of inspiring each other, and this is yet another great example.

The organic body with its asymmetric drapes ensures functional direct downlight.
The open-top design principle ensures diffused ambient upward lighting.

The original Ninotchka lamp was red with a contrasting white-lacquered inside.
Today, the charming pendant lamp also comes in white and black.
The white Ninotchka comes with a white textile cord, the black and red lamp with a black textile cord.
The asymmetrical lamp is crafted from a single shade and is available in three different sizes.
