The Munin is innovative and combines new Danish design with 110 years of furniture tradition and craftsmanship.

The chair was designed by Lise Vester. Her goal was to provide the best possible seating comfort and at the same time both
have a soothing and sensory stimulating effect.
Munin comes from the English 'mind' and 'memory' from the Danish language and Munin is also one of Odin's ravens in Norse mythology
which gives him a recollection of the world. This is fully in line with the design idea behind this armchair.
The Munin recliner is made to support cognitive problems such as stress and tension.
The specific design contributes to a sense of security and the possibility to retire comfortably.

Armchair with glide system

With the optional rocking function, the Glide System, Munin activates the body's natural relaxation processes. Using the Glide system
feels like a slight wave motion that allows the chair to move forward and backward. The seat shell of the Farstrup Munin with this system can
can also be secured in three positions, from upright to reclined.
The Glide system makes Munin a good tool for people with dementia. The gentle rocking in the Munin with Glide system shows
to be the ultimate way to relax. Various studies have shown that precisely the more horizontal movement of this system,
compared to the traditional movement in a rocking chair, has a very positive effect.
For example, it also reduces the tendency to stand up and walk around, which is pleasant for both the person sitting in the chair and for
the caregiver.

The solid oak frame is available untreated, naturally lacquered or white oiled and transparent,
stained brown or black.
The Munin is upholstered with a choice of a wide range of quality fabrics in various price ranges (group A, B, C or D) from De Ploeg, Gabriel and Kvadrat, among others,
or genuine leather from the Danish Sørensen Leather. In addition, the cushions can be made in a different color than the color of the shell.

This beautiful fabric was designed by Nanna Ditzel, one of the most famous Danish designers.
