The Magnussen Uplight lamp is a modern and flexible lamp. This lamp provides both direct light downwards and indirect light via
the ceiling. With its "upside-down" design, this lamp gives a playful effect to any room.
The advantage of this design lamp is that it can be used on ceilings with a slope of up to 40 degrees.
This makes the Uplight ceiling lamp perfect for use in rooms on, for example, the second floor or stairwells with
sloping walls.
Erik Magnussen's Uplight is a typical design of his modern take on lighting in which classic and modern ideas are united.

The shade of the pendant lamp is made of brushed aluminum and polycarbonate. The handle is made of stainless steel.
The Magnussen Uplight lamp is available in white or brushed aluminum.

Erik Magnussen

Erik Magnussen (Copenhagen, 1940) was trained as a ceramist at the School of Applied Arts and Design and studied
with a silver medal in 1960. Erik Magnussen's designs are exhibited in museums around the world. He received
several awards and in 1983 the Danish Design Council named Magnussen "Designer of the Year". His products have been several times
awarded the ID prize by the Danish Association for Industrial Design.
Erik Magnussen received the Bindesbøll Medal in 1996 and the Red Dot award in 1997 in the "Design Innovations 1997" competition of
Design Center North Rhine-Westphalia.
He also won the "Good Design Gold Prize" awarded by the Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organization.
In 2000, his lamp, Pandul Ring, won the European design competition "Lights of the Future". Also look for this lamp on our website.
