Referencing the simplicity of Shaker furniture, with clean lines and functional details, Børge Mogensen’s foldable Outdoor Table was designed back in 1971.

Rediscovered by Carl Hansen & Søn, the iconic designer’s outdoor table and bench set is reworked to modern sensibilities, yet remains true to the spirit of its original design.
Crafted in untreated FSC®-certified teak, the durable design withstands wear and weather conditions to age gracefully over time, acquiring an elegant silver-grey hue.

The BM1871 bench, together with the BM1771 garden table, form a beautiful and functional garden set which easily can be stored after use.

The Borge Mogensen Outdoor series from Carl Hansen consists of the bench, lounge chair, side table, dining table and dining chairs and also a footstool and tray.

Børge Mogensen’s creative process produced long-lasting pieces with humans at the center. He became a highly-influential, post-war designer and a leading representative of Danish Modern.

Mogensen’s democratic design included simple and functional wooden furniture for both private and public spaces, with calm aesthetics and strong construction from quality. He believed in visual clarity and minimal decoration.
