In 1970, Hans J. Wegner came up with an exclusive office concept consisting of a desk and accompanying chair plus a slender easy chair. The series represents some of Wegner's very finest steel-framed furniture. The chair looks just the way it did the day Wegner designed it. Available with or without armrests.

The chair has a straightforward, cubistic design which has retained its contemporary look through the years. It is a comfortable and distinctive lounge chair similar in design to CH113, the meeting chair, making them a beautiful match when decorating e.g. an office or a lounge. It is made from stainless steel and saddle leather.

This chair was designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1970 as a part of a complete series of office furniture, including meeting and easy chairs, a desk, meeting and coffee tables, and sofas. The series was produced in limited quantities in the 1970s. It was out of production until 2008, when Carl Hansen & Son relaunched parts of the series in connection with the company's 100th anniversary hence the series name "CH100". The CH112 chair was relaunched in 2011.

Hans J. Wegner is widely considered to be one of the leading figures in 20th century furniture design -
and a driving force in the “Danish Modern” movement that changed the way people looked at furniture in the 1950s and 1960s.
