The chair that smiles to you - is one of the most iconic designs of “Master chair-maker” Hans Wegner.
Minimalistic, yet generous and due to the wide wing-shaped seat and three organically shaped legs, this luxurious lounge chair is guaranteed
comfortable and stable.
Hence this timeless chair leads the way and after Carl Hansen & Søn has put this model back into production since 1998,
the Shell Chair won several design awards.
According to Hans Wegner, a chair should not be seen as having a back, but must be breath taking from every point of view.

Materials |
The Shell Chair is made of form-pressed veneer (plywood) and is available in the highest quality beech, oak and walnut in
different finishes.
The seat and backrest are upholstered with cowhide with a spotted pattern in the colors white and brown or white and black. The spot patern
is always unique. It is therefore impossible to make a preliminary statement about the ratio between white and brown spots or
between white and black spots.

The CH07 is with it's organic lines a beautiful example of Danish design. The credo of designer Hans Wegner was that a
chair, viewed from every point of view, must be beautiful and, moreover, comfortable. These demands are united in the "Chair with a smile".
The Shell Chair can be placed well in various interiors, but has to be be seen.
