AJ Eklipta Wall Lamp / Ceiling Lamp | Louis Poulsen

The luminaire spreads a soft, pleasant light. The glass is designed to form an evenly lit surface.
The mouth-blown glass screen consisting of three layers of opal glass has a clear edge,
which gives the luminaire a halo of light.
The AJ Eklipta is available in two sizes: 35cm and 45cm diameter.

Design Lamps by Arne Jacobsen

AJ Discus was designed in 1956 for Rødovre town hall in Denmark. It was used indoors for
the stairwells, and outdoors as a wall luminaire. For this project, the luminaire was produced
with two different diameters: 350 mm and 450 mm. Later, an even smaller version with a diameter
of 200 mm was designed for St. Catherine's College in England. When Arne Jacobsen used the luminaire
himself for stairwells, he always preferred the largest version. A true functional master, Arne Jacobsen
created the AJ Discus at a time when Danish design had exceptional quality, and even today this
luminaire is still used worldwide in various architectural environments.
